AI infrastructure demand moved from an abstract forecast into several very different ledgers during the latest 24-hour window. Cloud capacity, optical links and server systems all produced exceptional revenue figures. The same filings also showed why revenue growth cannot be read as a complete measure of operating health.
Between 11 August 2026 at 09:01 Asia/Tehran and 12 August 2026 at 09:01 Asia/Tehran, CoreWeave reported quarterly revenue more than twice the prior-year level, alongside a $626 million net loss and $640 million of net interest expense. Lumentum also more than doubled quarterly revenue as AI data centres demanded faster optical links, while a debt conversion created a $7.8 billion non-cash accounting loss. Supermicro nearly doubled quarterly sales, but its full-year working-capital build consumed cash and its numbers remain preliminary during an export-control review.
The evidence supports strong demand. It does not support combining these businesses into one AI growth rate, treating backlog as delivered revenue, or assuming that management's use of the word “AI” identifies an audited revenue segment.

Six disclosures measured six different things
Every record below was filed or accepted on 11 August inside the locked Tehran window. The business periods differ, and most activity occurred before the filing date.

These are not comparable units. Revenue, net contribution, backlog, product demand and planned services answer different questions. This brief is source-led operational analysis, not investment advice.
CoreWeave converted demand into revenue, not yet profit
CoreWeave's 11 August earnings exhibit reported second-quarter revenue of $2.575 billion, 112.5% above $1.212 billion a year earlier. Active power reached 1.5 GW and contracted power approximately 3.7 GW. The company reported about $104 billion of revenue backlog at 30 June and said that figure excluded more than $25 billion of net new customer commitments added in early Q3.
The definition matters. CoreWeave says backlog combines remaining performance obligations with other amounts it estimates it will recognise under committed contracts, subject to delivery and service availability. It is therefore evidence of contracted demand, not cash already collected or compute already delivered.
The income statement kept the constraint visible: a $49 million operating loss, $640 million of net interest expense and a $626 million net loss. Adjusted EBITDA was $1.51 billion, but that measure adds back interest, depreciation and other items that are economically important in a debt- and asset-intensive cloud. The SEC filing detail records acceptance at 16:10 Eastern time on 11 August.

Today's earnings add the operating denominator: track delivered megawatts, billable utilisation, customer concentration, interest coverage, renewal terms and the residual value of hardware separately from the headline backlog.
Lumentum showed the constraint moving into optics
Lumentum's fiscal fourth-quarter release dated 11 August reported $1.006 billion of revenue, 109.3% above the prior year. GAAP gross margin reached 47.4% and operating margin 27.8%. Management attributed the acceleration to demand for optical links, including cloud modules, 1.6-terabit adoption, optical circuit switches and early co-packaged-optics products.
This is a more specific signal than a general claim about AI capex: larger clusters need to move data among accelerators, racks and sites. The company guided the next quarter to $1.225 billion–$1.275 billion of revenue, but guidance remains a forecast rather than a completed sale.
Lumentum also reported a $7.2 billion GAAP net loss. That figure does not mean the optical business consumed $7.2 billion of cash in the quarter. The release identifies a one-time $7.8 billion non-cash loss on debt extinguishment caused by equitising convertible notes. Operating margin and the capital-structure transaction must be read separately. The filing record accepted at 16:24 Eastern provides the timing and reconciliations.

Supermicro made cash conversion and controls impossible to ignore
Supermicro's 11 August preliminary results put another layer between orders and usable economics. Fiscal fourth-quarter net sales were $11.1 billion, up from $5.8 billion, with a 17.5% GAAP gross margin and $1.178 billion of net income. Full-year sales reached $39.1 billion, compared with $22.0 billion.
Yet full-year operating cash flow was negative $6.8 billion. The cash-flow statement shows an $8.9 billion increase in inventory and a $3.9 billion increase in accounts receivable as major uses of cash. At 30 June, inventory stood at $12.9 billion and receivables at $6.1 billion. Strong sales can demand substantial financing before suppliers are paid and customers settle invoices.
There is also a reporting boundary. The release repeatedly calls the figures preliminary and unaudited because closing procedures were incomplete. It says an independent board review of transactions connected with export-control issues could affect forecasts, the preliminary results and prior periods. The SEC record accepted at 16:06 Eastern is new; the underlying review is not.
Procurement teams should not infer a supplier failure from that caveat, but neither should they erase it. Separate product delivery, cash resilience, audited reporting, trade compliance and customer concentration in the supplier assessment.
Edge AI hit a smaller, more literal supply limit
Ambiq's second-quarter exhibit reported $33.9 million of sales, up 89.7% year on year, and a $7.1 million net loss. The low-power chip company guided the next quarter to $36 million–$37 million and explicitly said accelerating edge-AI demand was partly constrained by industry-wide supply availability.
That is a company explanation, not an independent measure of the entire edge market. Its usefulness is narrower: inference demand can encounter memory, fabrication, packaging or allocation limits far from a central data centre. The filing timestamp places the disclosure inside the window.
Quantinuum showed how percentages can hide the base
Quantinuum's 11 August results said revenue rose 279% year on year. The denominator was $2 million; current-quarter revenue was $8 million. GAAP net loss was $597 million and adjusted EBITDA loss $68 million. The company says stock compensation and warrant remeasurement produced large non-cash charges. Cash and short-term investments were $2.1 billion after a $1.7 billion initial public offering.
The same filing announced a planned Oracle service for hybrid quantum, high-performance-computing and AI workloads. The Oracle partnership exhibit says a preview is expected in coming months and includes a future-product disclaimer stating that timing and functionality may change. It should be treated as a funded integration plan, not deployed enterprise capacity. The filing was accepted at 16:11 Eastern.
eToro financed regulated rails around an AI product story
eToro's 11 August results reported net contribution of $229 million, up 9%, net income of $53 million and 4.28 million funded accounts. It described an AI agent, more than 75 third-party applications and agent-managed sub-accounts, but did not disclose revenue, usage, outcomes or risk performance attributable to those AI features.
The measurable strategic action was infrastructure. A separate 11 August acquisition exhibit says eToro agreed to buy TradeZero for up to $231 million in cash and shares. TradeZero generated about $80 million of revenue in the twelve months to June and supplies broker-dealer infrastructure in several markets. The transaction still requires approvals and is expected to close in the first half of 2027.
For financial AI, that distinction is valuable: a personalised interface is not the execution, custody, market-access or compliance rail beneath it. Each needs its own controls and evidence.
What the operating signal actually says
The latest filings support a practical hierarchy for reading AI demand:
- Contracted demand: backlog, commitments and orders, with cancellation and delivery conditions visible.
- Delivered capacity: installed power, optical throughput, servers shipped and chips allocated.
- Recognised revenue: the accounting unit, reporting period and customer concentration.
- Cash conversion: receivables, inventory, capex, supplier terms, debt service and free cash flow.
- Control quality: audit status, export compliance, model claims and product commitments.
The production AI cost-stack guide applies the same separation to an enterprise deployment. A low model price does not remove networking, observability, evaluation, review, resilience or finance costs.
Limits and what to watch next
These disclosures arrived in one 24-hour publication window, but they mostly describe quarters ending in June. Backlog definitions are company-specific; AI demand attributions are management statements unless a filing supplies a distinct audited segment. Supermicro's figures may change, Quantinuum's OCI service is prospective, and eToro has not shown that AI features caused its financial results.
The next useful evidence will be:
- CoreWeave's conversion of contracted power and backlog into delivered, billable capacity;
- optical availability and 1.6T deployment beyond Lumentum's guidance;
- Supermicro's final filed accounts, working-capital movement and review outcome;
- Ambiq's ability to ship against its supply-limited guidance;
- actual availability, workloads and pricing for the planned OCI quantum service; and
- eToro's completed approvals plus AI-specific usage, control and outcome measures.
The day's conclusion is narrower than “AI infrastructure is booming.” Demand is broad enough to appear in cloud, optics, servers and edge chips. The decision-grade question is now where that demand becomes delivered capacity, cash, controlled reporting and durable customer value.
